In Ash vs Evil Dead, Ruby (Lucy Lawless) has been connected with the magic of the Evil Dead, which we know includes time travel. Lucy Lawless is certainly not shy about bringing out some of the good old Xena voices and bad-ass attitude in playing Ruby.

In the comics, Xena and Ash meet up because of a time travel spell. Adventures ensue, including battling Deadite Xena.
