There is a precedent for using a of spin-off format for the Xena Reboot. Xena Warrior Princess was originally launched as a spin-off itself. The title character, Xena, was introduced in Hercules: The Legendary Journey as a dangerous war lord. Hercules helps Xena to make a big life change, and after some adventurous fun times, she chooses to leave her army and set out on that long, long road named redemption.
