No. 3: The Defenders

The Netflix/Marvel original series The Defenders doesn’t exist outside of a concept and a vague air date, 2017, but the teaser that is now doing the rounds has got a lot of fans excited. The slow camera, panning across a number of post it notes and newspaper clippings only confirms that all of the Netflix/Marvel characters will be involved and the voice over indicates that they will have to overcome personal obstacles to save the city they love. Add to this a pace broken version of Nivana’s Come As You Are and you have a very intriguing, yet eerie, introduction to a series that’s at least a year away.

Before The Defenders though there are three possible series to look forward too. Luke Cage, Iron Fist (each with trailers debuting at San Diego) and a possible third series of Daredevil, although the release date for this has not been confirmed yet and may in fact debut after The Defenders.

Either way Netflix has an exciting year and a half ahead of it with plenty to keep superhero fans happy.
