I’ve been a fan of Roller Derby ever since my girlfriend started playing for a local team. There is a surprising cross over between the Roller Derby world and comic book illustrators, in fact Gary Erskine is currently in the process of creating his own comic based on the sport. Therefore, the announcement of this new monthly title coming out of the Boom! Box imprint called to me instantly. Set in the fast paced, often violent, always entertaining world of Roller Derby it is written by the best-selling novelist Pamela Ribon and illustrated by Archie’s own Veronica Fish.
This new title is set to drop in November and I can’t wait.
