In 2010, Left 4 Dead got a comic book titled Left 4 Dead: The Sacrifice. The Sacrifice was a digital comic book. It was based on the game and told of the events that happened after the four protagonists finish the game. It is a prequel for The Passing campaign from Left 4 Dead 2. The creators of the comic, Valve Corporation, noted that the comics are canon but the plot doesn’t necessarily need to be forced into the game.
