The most popular franchise in survival horror and one of the most recognizable names in gaming, Resident Evil, got its first comic in 1997. Marvel Comics published one issue which was given away with Resident Evil #1.
Soon, Wildstorm started publishing a monthly series which went on for five issues. In 2009, Wildstorm published a prequel to Resident Evil #5. The comic went on for six issues. The last comic in the series was published in 2011.
