No. 4: The Illuminati

After Infinity War, the future of the MCU is much more cloudy however in an interview with IGN, Cumberbatch seemingly dropped a major hint that the Illuminati will be formed in future films. This secretive organisation comprising of some of Marvel's most intelligent heroes has played a major part in recent comics, most notably through Jonathan Hickman's magisterial New Avengers and recent Time Runs Out event.

Could this lead to a future Secret Wars-esque film down the line?

While this would be hugely exciting and could lead to a wealth of possibilities for future films, its uncertain how this would take shape. With Robert Downey Jr presumably on his way out of the MCU and key Illuminati members Professor X, Namor, Black Bolt, Reed Richards and Beast currently off the table, it is uncertain who could be in the team other than Strange and Black Panther.  Nonetheless, the prospect of a morally dubious, darker team in the future is hugely exciting and could provide much needed diversity of tone in Phase 4.
