If Doctor Strange becomes a big enough hit, it is highly likely that he will become one of the future powerhouse of the MCU. This is likely to take the form of sequels and appearances in Avengers films however could hopefully cause him to appear in more 'team-up' movies, akin to Thor Ragnarok.

This would mirror his original position in comics as a mystical wizard who appears in other people's stories to deal with magical threats. This could lead to some really cool team-ups in the future which could be really fun and successful. For example, who wouldn't want to see the good Doctor join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Black Panther or the Defenders in the future?

Overall, there is a massive variety of opportunities open to Doctor Strange all of which could be hugely exciting for the future of the MCU.
