No. 4: Nightwing

This one is almost a no brainer. Trained by the Batman, Dick Grayson used to be Robin. As he grew older, though, he left Gotham City and struck out on his own, fighting crime in nearby Bludhaven. With all the physical and mental skills passed down to him by Bruce Wayne, Dick is a force to be reckoned with. But his leadership abilities may even surpass Batman's due to his ability to actually form meaningful and lasting relationships with others. Also, there is already a fantastic fan-produced effort called Nightwing: The Series based off the character, so you know there's an audience out there.

A DC TV show starring Nightwing would, admittedly, have trouble distinguishing itself from Batman but it could be a happy medium between the super dark Dark Knight stories and a more optimistic tone.
