Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PS4, Xbox One, Windows)

The last sword wielding RPG to come out of Eastern Europe was The Witcher 3, so hopefully Czech developer Warhorse Studios can do something similar with Kingdom Come: Deliverance. In contrast to the adventures of Geralt, this game is firmly rooted in local history, featuring historical kings in the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia.
The realism runs through to the RPG elements. Players will be required to sleep and eat in order to survive. Food will spoil if it is left too long in your inventory. Clothing will feature 16 different item slots, and will become progressively dirtier and bloody as the player progresses. Quests can be solved in multiple ways and NPCs will change their daily routines and attitudes based on player actions: for example, NPCs will become more suspicious after an unsolved crime.
It looks to be an ambitious first game from the fledgling studio, but if they deliver on their promises Kingdom Come will set the bar for historical RPGs.
