No. 4: Kylo Ren

Here we can envision Luke Skywalker in the darkest timeline. Once Luke discovers that Darth Vader is his father, he has the opportunity to join forces with him and become an agent of the Dark Side. Of course, our hero would never stoop to such a level. But what happened to Kylo Ren to make him turn out this way? Perhaps the more we learn about his backstory, the more similarities we will see with Luke. For now, though, his presence serves as a reminder of another life Luke Skywalker turned away from – and Star Wars fans everywhere are grateful.
Whether or not this hand belongs to Luke, the latest Star Wars trailer has managed to make their old hero’s shadow loom large. Every new main character shares a piece of history with him, and I imagine we will see more lines connecting back to him before we finally learn what major role he will play in The Force Awakens.
