Nerdcast is back with another hot episode, so get some hot coffee and buckle up for the ride!

ComiConverse is back again with Episode 44 of the Podcast, hosted by fellow writer Jordan Samuel who invites Dale and Roger to talk about everything in pop culture. Arguably the controversial reboot of all time Ghostbusters has been released!

Jordan and Dale discuss the movie along with some recaps on Star Wars Celebration.

2016’s most controversial film of all time, the female led Ghostbusters reboot has landed. Ever since it was announced that Paul Fiege, would direct a reboot of the series many internet types have been outraged.

Jordan and Dale delves into the film with a spoiler heavy chat.

Paranormal researcher Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) and physicist Erin Gilbert are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help. Also joining the team is Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out. Armed with proton packs and plenty of attitude, the four women prepare for an epic battle as more than 1,000 mischievous ghouls descend on Times Square.

London had a special event this weekend, as Star Wars Celebration was held at the ExCel centre. Panels for Rogue One and Episode 8 took place, revealing information on the films along with trailers and other goodies.

X-Men TV Show:

Earlier in the week Marvel announced their partnership with FOX, to produce a mutant based show. The untitled series will be a family action-adventure, focusing on two human parents whose children develop mutant powers.

"Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive," the press statement reads.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2:

Marvel released some concept art for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in the art we get see the usual members: Drax, Groot, Yondu, Star-Lord, Rocket, Nebula, and Gamora.

But we also get a look at the new alien Mantis played by Pom Klementieff who Marvel states “She has never really experienced social interaction,” says executive producer Jonathan Schwartz. “Everything she learns about dealing with people, she learns from the Guardians of the Galaxy, which is a very weird group to learn your social intricacies from.”

Jordan and Dale go in depth in the concept art.

The Guardians of the Galaxy travel throughout the cosmos and struggle to keep their newfound family together, while helping Peter Quill learn more about his true parentage.
