No. 4: Resident Evil

Similar to Tomb Raider, this franchise has not had the best experience in movie form, with the films feeling like a cheap cash grabs. Even though the first attempt is arguably the best of the lot, it feels like Resident Evil needs the reboot treatment.
Imagine the first edition of the game in live-action; that would be so good! Producers could make the whole film set in the mansion, similar to something like Dredd. Â Horror should be key in the rebooted franchise, something that was thrown out the window during the first five movies.
Someone like James Wan would do a perfect job with the fear element and action set pieces that the game series has been known for.
Come on Hollywood, just give Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield the film they deserve!
