The guys are back with the latest episode of NERDCAST, so get some hot coffee and buckle up for the ride!

Better late than never! ComiConverse is back again with Episode 46 of the Nerdcast Network Podcast, hosted by fellow writer Jordan Samuel who invites Dale and Roger to talk about everything in pop culture. This week we finally record our Suicide Squad special, and talk about the just released Star Wars: Rogue One trailer.

Better late than never right? The anticipated comic book movie Suicide Squad has hit theatres, so the guys discuss opinions on the adaptation. David Ayer’s take on the Squad was released to pretty bad reception settling at 26% on review site Rotten Tomatoes.

Jordan, Dale, Ryan and Micah give a diverse talk on the movie, along with the DCEU going forward.

Figuring they’re all expendable, a U.S. intelligence officer decides to assemble a team of dangerous, incarcerated supervillains for a top-secret mission. Now armed with government weapons, Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc and other despicable inmates must learn to work together. Dubbed Task Force X, the criminals unite to battle a mysterious and powerful entity, while the diabolical Joker (Jared Leto) launches an evil agenda of his own.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

After Star Wars Celebration, fans have been dying to see the first official Rogue One trailer after only seeing a brief teaser couple months ago. Early yesterday Lucasfilm/Disney released a 2-minute-long taste of the upcoming Star Wars spin-off movie

The guys give us an in-depth talk on the trailer! With some added speculation on the future Star Wars movies.

Following the foundation of the Galactic Empire, a wayward band of Rebel fighters come together to carry out a desperate mission: to steal the plans for the Death Star before it can be used to enforce the Emperor’s rule.

Luke Cage:

Marvel also released a trailer this week, focusing on their upcoming Netflix Show Luke Cage. It delivered some heavy hip-hop themes along with a gangster storyline – giving us another look at Hell’s Kitchen New York.

When a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive attempting to rebuild his life in Harlem and must soon confront his past and fight a battle for the heart of his city.

Supergirl

Since the last episode it was announced that Tyler Hoechlin would be playing Superman on CW’s Supergirl the group discuss the reveal. Along with the terrible first look that was provided by the network.

Based on the DC character, Supergirl AKA Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero who she was always meant to be on The CW series, Supergirl.
