The Xena Reboot: A Fantasy Cast

No. 3: Lily Rabe As Xena

Lily Rabe, you may recognise her from American Horror Story (Fox Television), where she has shown a range of acting skills and created another of my favourite, Gabrielle like, characters in the form of the Stevie Nicks loving, swamp hippy, Misty Day. 

Lily Rabe also demonstrated her ability to play a remorseless evil in the form of a possessed Sister Mary Eunice McKee making her more than capable of tackling the role of a mass murdering warlord.

These being key elements to being repentant saviour with a sword.

Lily Rabe and Ksenia Solo would make an excellent pairing (and I mean that even without the subtext) because they could both play either role. I think that to develop a good ying and yang relationship you should be able too (but not necessarily resort too) a "body switch" episode and have it be just as good as the cast in regular roles.
