'Avengers: Infinity War' Has A Surprising Actor Cameo

Marvel

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too significant for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment - the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Even though it was released about two weeks ago Avengers: Infinity War is still breaking records, taking over fan pages & dominating social media posts. Fans have flocked in droves to his movie, some of them multiple times. I admit that I saw it 2x in less than a week! Personally, I thought it well done, and I can’t wait for the next installment in the Marvel universe. Most Walking Dead fans weren’t surprised by the continued role by Danai Gurira as Wakanda’s general Okoye. Okoye is similar to her role as katana welding Michonne in The Walking Dead. Both are active female leads with killer spear/katana skills. She did an excellent job portraying this badass role in the Black Panther movie, so it would be natural that she appears in Infinity War.

So, who is the surprise cast member? Remember Red Skull from Captain America: The First Avenger who was portrayed by Hugo Weaving? We meet him again as the Stonekeeper for the Soul Stone in Infinity War. Gamora knows the location of the Soul Stone & Thanos wants her to lead him there. She refuses until Thanos tortures Nebula, who is Gamora’s sister. When they arrive in Vormir, they are met by the Stonekeeper who is revealed to be none other than Red Skull. Red Skull,’s encounter with the Tesseract ended in exile to Vormir. But, this time Weaving isn’t the actor. Ross Marquand, Aaron from the Walking Dead, was cast to portray the former Hydra leader. Marquand was sworn to secrecy by an NDA, and he was scared to tell anyone, even his Walking Dead co-star Gurira. Marquand took to social media to make the announcement:

If you don’t know much about Ross Marquand, he is an outstanding voice impersonator! He can mimic voices of stars from Michael Caine to Jack Nicolson to Brad Pitt, and the list goes on. But did you notice his appearance? Let us know in the comment section below.

Avengers: Infinity War is now playing in U.S. theaters nationwide. It runs 149 minutes and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action throughout, language and some crude references.
