The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the Kings(2003). All three of these films were directed by Peter Jackson and were shot in one mega filming session in New Zealand. This is a phenomenal trilogy comprised of three films that were all nominated for academy awards. These adventure movies take viewers all over Middle Earth. Like The Toy Story Trilogy, there are no weak links. If you haven't seen these films, there is no time like the present to take a journey to Middle Earth.
