#5: Thanos & Mistress Death
Have you ever dated someone you thought was out of your league? That's the way Thanos looks at Mistress Death. You wouldn't think it, but Thanos is driven by love. His whole motivation is to pledge his love for Death and for her to view him as worthy of her love. When Thanos died, Death granted him a place by her side, but Thanos' inferiority complex got in the way. He wanted to be on equal footing with her. That's when the trouble in the romance started. It also spelled extinction for nearly the whole universe in the Infinity Gauntlet affair. Thanos has killed entire realities to prove his love for her. It's not exactly the healthiest relationship, but what relationship on this list is?
