No. 3: Green Lantern

Green-Lantern

Where do I begin with this character?

Ryan Reynolds has always been less of a serious actor and more a comedy performer, with witty one-liners featuring in his films. So, when he was cast as Hal Jordan in Green Lantern (2011) it was destined to be a flop. Reynolds cannot play the character who ‘cares’ about saving the universe because its hard for him to portray things with a serious theme; which is why when Deadpool (2016) is released he’s going to be awesome!

The threat is a giant alien planet-killer heading for Earth.  The CGI in this movie is weak and to think how far we have come in terms of motion capture. That was what allowed James Cameron to create such magic with Avatar.  One wonders why they wouldn't use it in Green Lantern.

The characters for the Green Lantern reboot have not yet been cast, but you can bet one Lantern is sure to turn up for a cameo role in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. If the rumors are true about Chris Pine taking the reins from Reynolds, then  audiences might have the perfect Hal Jordan, because he’s done the whole space opera thing with the very successful Star Trek reboots.
