I'm a 35 year old Canadian living in Ontario. I read comics, I love to draw and I collect comic art. I also teach karate, play hockey, and am a dad to 3 girls! My comic book passion lies with Batman and his pals with Nightwing taking a very close #2 favourite position. I began collecting comic art in 2013 and I have several commissions done by Ken Lashley and an amazing Francis Manapul Batman. As well I have sold a few of my own creations!

No. 2: Stephanie Brown

robin402

The daughter of the villainous Cluemaster, Stephanie Brown looked to stick it to her father and spoil his plans.  This motivation persists within her in both the old continuity and the New 52 continuity of DC Comics.

This desire lead Stephanie to become the heroine Spoiler and assist in stopping her father's nefarious machinations. Being a hero is addictive, it seems, and Stephanie eventually begins to do regular patrols as Spoiler, where she crosses paths with Tim Drake as Robin.  Teen romance ensues and Stephanie became a regular supporting cast member in the Robin book for nearly a decade.

When Tim is forced by his father to give up the Robin role and return to civilian life, Stephanie takes up the role.  She makes a homemade Robin costume and shows up in the Batcave to convince Batman to train her.  Batman accepts, gets her a more official outfit and she becomes Robin for a short time.  The partnership is ended when Batman dismisses her for disobeying orders.

Stephanie then goes on to become Batgirl for a short time.  At first. she recieves a costume from Cassandra Cain, but Oracle later replaces it - combining elements from the Batgirl and Spoiler costumes.

In the New 52 Stephanie's history is completely wiped out. She appears again during the pages of Batman Eternal; once again as Spoiler.
