The Story

Orphan Black Season 1

The characters are all well developed but that is only half the battle any show faces. The other half is making sure there are plot lines worthy of them. Orphan Black definitely succeeds in this department in my opinion.

Fair enough this type of science fiction tv series may not be to your particular cup of tea but the stories are interesting with a variety of challenges coming at the core protagonists in different ways. On top of this each of the main characters has their own personal stories have elements which do and elements which don't overlap with the core story.

I want to be more specific. I do not want to spoil anything. It is not easy. I look forward to every other post I will do on Orphan Black (which I hope will be many more because there are three seasons, two comic book stories lines and a new season coming in April) because I will be able to discuss the characters by name and relationship.

The overall flow of the show works really well and the audience is treated to an enthralling story which takes through the highs and lows of a large network of people as they do their best to be the best them they can be.
