The biggest release of the week Star Trek Beyond has hit theatres (we gave it 4/5 stars) and brings us back to the Enterprise. Despite a terrible marketing campaign, Star Trek: Beyond is truly the 50th anniversary celebration the franchise needed.

Dale and Jordan go into the five-year mission to explore different worlds with a spoiler heavy chat.

See the trailer bellow:

The USS Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a new ruthless enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.

This week has been crazy for geeks across the world, as the annual comic con took place in San Diego. Providing the biggest stage for both Warner Bros. and Disney to show up their upcoming movie slates.

Jordan and Dale cover the biggest reveals in this section.

Wonder Woman:

Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman was the talk of Warner Bros. Pictures panel as we got a full length trailer for her solo movie. After the brilliant Suicide Squad marketing – you can tell that Wonder Woman would be no slough either.

Jordan and Dale chat about the footage focusing on the Amazon Warrior.

We have got this beautiful poster.

See the mind blowing Wonder Woman trailer bellow:

An Amazon princess leaves her island home to explore the world, and becomes the greatest of its heroes.

Justice League:

Arguably the biggest surprise last night was Justice League footage, that showed the team in action. After the lacklustre critical response for the darker Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice all eyes are on the team flick!

Zack Synder gives us a fantastic teaser, that focused on the lighter tone that was rumoured and more humour.

Check it out bellow:

Jordan and Dale talk about the teaser and their thoughts.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.

Suicide Squad:

The final trailer for Suicide Squad was released in the conference, and provided a good look at the upcoming film. Comedy was more relevant along with a cool remixed Soundtrack – which gave something cool to rock with.

Jordan and Dale discuss the film’s hype and trailer.

Here is the trailer:

A secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency.

Kong: Skull Island:

Warner Bros. Pictures finally revealed footage of the upcoming King Kong reboot titled Kong: Skull Island, which puts the beast in the 1970’s. Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson join forces to uncover the ape legend, the trailer showcased how giant Kong has become since his last iteration.

The trailer is here:

Jordan and Dale give their opinions on the footage that was shown. An action/adventure story centered on King Kong's origins.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them:

We also got a new trailer for Fantastic Beasts, that reveal a very Pokemon inspired concept about collecting creatures. It also showed off some beautiful looking CGI monsters - who will be explored in the upcoming spin-off.

Trailer is bellow:

Jordan and Dale grab their wands and dwell it out in a discussion.

The adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York's secret community of witches and wizards seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school.

The LEGO Batman Movie:

Closing the Warner Bros. panel, we got a new look at the upcoming LEGO Batman film. The trailer focused on Batman and Robin meeting for the first time trying on outfits - we also got snippets of Harley Quinn and The Joker.

Jordan and Dale go into the hilarious new footage: A spin-off of The Lego Movie centering on the character of Batman.

Luke Cage and Iron Fist

Marvel started off their coverage with the reveal trailer for this year’s Luke Cage Netflix show, linked with a bumping hip hop sound. It blew the front doors off with the fighting style and overall tone which is allot lighter than Daredevil.

We also got a trailer for Iron Fist, which goes into the supernatural elements of the MCU. That looks like a push in a direction we haven’t seen yet on the Netflix screen.

Jordan and Dale discuss the footage.

Captain Marvel:

The only major casting announced from Marvel was that Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel will be played by Brie Larson. Not a surprising casting due to the fact rumours have been circulating for months now – that she was in the running.

Dale and Jordan discuss the interesting casting:

Doctor Strange:

The only trailer related this year from Marvel to the public was Doctor Strange, which provides a good look at the Ditko inspired visuals. We also got this beautiful poster which debuts the new logo crated for Marvel Studios.

Dale and Jordan go into the trailer seen bellow:

After his career is destroyed, a brilliant but arrogant and conceited surgeon gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under her wing and trains him to defend the world against evil.

And that’s a wrap until Comic Con returns next year, Hopefully it will follow the amazing reveals that were shown this weekend. Because it's the perfect time to be a fellow comic book fan with both DC and Marvel being in full effect with movies.

We return next week for our Jason Bourne special, the last episode before we see the anticipated Suicide Squad!
