The Jungle Book
Disney’s live-action remake of their classic animated film based on Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book. The movie has received critical acclaim from various major publications calling it spectacular family fare. Jordan and Micah discuss the major release in this section of Nerdcast
The man-cub Mowgli flees the jungle after a threat from the tiger Shere Khan. Guided by Bagheera the panther and the bear Baloo, Mowgli embarks on a journey of self-discovery, though he also meets creatures who don't have his best interests at heart.

Doctor Strange
Marvel finally released a trailer of the upcoming Doctor Strange movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Blowing up the internet, it showcased some gorgeous cinematography and some exceptionally strange imagery. Jordan and Roger chat about their opinions on the trailer

This week we got another trailer for the Warner Brothers Pictures adaptation of Suicide Squad. In a humor heavy trailer, audiences get a fresh look at Harley Quinn and The Joker doing there thing along with Batman jumping in water. Micah and Jordan go into the latest trailer.
A secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
During the MTV Awards, the first official trailer for the Harry Potter Spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was released. The trailer gave a brief insight into the Wizarding World of the film, and introduced new characters. Jordan and Micah discuss opinions on the first trailer.
The adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York's secret community of witches and wizards seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school.

Avatar
Apart from some crazy new trailers this week, there was the major announcement that James Cameron’s Avatar would be receiving 4 Sequels. The new release dates for the films are planned for Christmas-time, in the years 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023. The films will standalone, but also connect to the larger world created in the first. Jordan and Micah talk about the potential return of Pandora.
Ghost in The Shell
What’s a week without films going into production? Paramount announced that The Ghost in the Shell has started filming, providing fans with their first look at the movie.
This event was met with major controversy because of the white-washing of main character Motoko Kusanagi. Micah and Jordan go through the subject. The film and manga, which has also been adapted into anime, deals with existential questions of what it means to be human in a world that is increasingly dependent on technology. It also has insane cyborg vs. robot action scenes
Cyborg The Major (Johansson) and her intelligence agency, Section 9, thwart cyber criminals and hackers. Now, they must face a new enemy who will stop at nothing to sabotage Hanka Robotic's Artificial Intelligence technology.

Ghost in The Shell releases in cinemas March 31, 2017
Hanna Barbera Cinematic Universe
We found out earlier last year that Warner Bros were developing an animated film based on Scooby Doo. This week we got word this adaptation would be titled S.C.O.O.B – and will be the key to unlocking a whole Hanna Barbera Universe
Jordan and Micah go back in time and chat about the Scooby Doo movies.
S.C.O.O.B. is scheduled to be released on September 21, 2018
Pokemon
A live action Pokemon movie could soon be a reality. According to a new report by Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros and Legendary are in a high stakes bidding war over the live action movie rights to Pokemon, the popular video game and trading card franchise.
Spider-Man: Homecoming
It's been about 14 months since Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures officially announced they would be teaming-up to chart a new future for Spider-Man on the big screen. This week it was confirmed that Spider-Man: Homecoming will be the title of the reboot. Jordan and Micah discuss opinions on the logo and more.
