Steven Spielberg Superhero Movie Comments

Earlier this week Steven Spielberg said this about the fate of superhero movies.

steven-spielberg-9

We were around when the Western died and there will be a time when the superhero movie goes the way of the Western. It doesn't mean there won't be another occasion where the Western comes back and the superhero movie someday returns. Of course, right now the superhero movie is alive and thriving. I'm only saying that these cycles have a finite time in popular culture. There will come a day when the mythological stories are supplanted by some other genre that possibly some young filmmaker is just thinking about discovering for all of us. – Yahoo! Movies

In this section we talk about these comments, and what they actually mean for the genre – with our predictions on when the event will happen.

Nicktoons Movie

During the weekend The Tracking Board dropped some information that Nickelodeon are developing a live-action/animated crossover movie focusing on their beloved 90s cartoons including - Rugrats, Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold!, Rocko’s Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, and more.

They claim that the movie won’t reboot each universe, instead will just bring them into the movie theater influenced by The Lego Movie, Space Jam, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and Wreck It Ralph.

This film could be something special or another awful cash in, but only time will tell – what is your opinion on this?

Stephen-Amell-as-Green-Arrow-in-Season-4

CW has released our first look at Arrow Season 4 with a pretty decent trailer that showcased the new location for Oliver Queen along with the first look at Damien Dark – we also got some promo images revealing John Diggle’s new outfit.

We discus are opinions on the new trailer and talk about the pretty strange looking costume for John Diggle which has caused so much controversy over the weekend.

The new season also looks to solidify relationships between Felicity and Oliver but does that ruin the show? Find out are thoughts on this during the Arrow Section.

Many people have been very critical about the overall look and feel of the last season, so hopefully Season 4 will deliver on those promises made with the last one – but what is your opinion on the trailer? Does it succeed or fail let us know below
