No. 4: Jon Favreau – Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010)
In May of 2008, the film that began the Marvel Cinematic Universe was released. Iron Man was an immediate fan favorite and the man behind the camera was also the man at Tony Stark’s side in that movie, Jon Favreau.

Not only did Favreau bring Iron Man to the silver screen, he was also instrumental in making sure Robert Downey Jr. was cast as Tony Stark. If there is one thing every comic book fan can agree on it’s that Downey Jr. is the perfect Tony Stark.
Favreau also came back in 2010 for Iron Man 2 which did not receive as much critical and fan acclaim but was still a huge financial success for the MCU.
