Namor approaches Doctor Doom in need of help, he is struggling to keep the Cabal under control and is disgusted by their relish of the destruction they are causing. Doctor Doom refuses to help as a matter of pride not wanting to be second choice with also his own agenda in mind. This conversation pushes Doctor Doom into action. With the help of the Mad Thinker, analysing a fragment from a previous incursion, he maps out the original point of the Multiverse. Using the Molecule Man, Doctor Doom sets out to navigate the map. Yellowjacket finally returns after months of being out in the Multiverse and explains to the Illuminati that he witnessed the Ivory Kings slaughtering all celestial beings and that they are in fact The Beyonders.
