Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

One of the more underrated films on this list, Avengers: Age of Ultron was actually a fairly entertaining sequel to one of the best comic book films of all time in Avengers (2012). This film brought Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow and the Hulk back together in order to save Sokovia from being used to destroy the Earth by Ultron. Two previously teased characters made their big screen debut in this film as well; Pietro and Wanda Maximoff or Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
Many fans’ biggest complaint with this film was a common one in the MCU; the repetitive and bland villain mold. Ultron was certainly entertaining and with James Spader’s ominous and eerie voice acting, Ultron was given a personality and even added a bit of bleakness to the overall feel of the film. This was another well-directed team film in the MCU by Joss Whedon, who will now have a directing credit on Justice League (2017) (another team film), after Zack Snyder’s leave due to family issues a few months ago.
