Another disappointment that I was excited about. Given how much I loved, X-Men: Days of Future PastI was ready for a worthy follow up, but X-Men: Apocalypse fell short for me. There are standout moments in this film, like both of the Quicksilver scenes and the Wolverine scene, but for some reason, I was never fully engaged by the Apocalypse, the antagonist. I'm not just talking about how he looked, which was an issue for many critics. The way his character was portrayed overall didn't feel consistent in either his power level or motivation. The film had redeeming moments and scenes and more consistency than Suicide Squad which earns it the number five slot on my list.
