In the most obvious news story of the day, Marvel Studios is planning a sequel to Black Panther. A movie which has broken records around the world and received critical acclaim. It’s early days for the superhero, but without a franchise has been born.

During an interview with EW, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was asked the prospect of a sequel, and he said:

"Nothing specific to reveal, other than to say we absolutely will do that. One of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on Part One and talking and dreaming about what we would do in Part Two. There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first Black Panther. We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one."

It’s safe to say fan favorite Black Panther will survive Thanos and protect Wakanda again in his own solo adventure. This announcement falls in line with the announced untitled film slots, making a sequel fit in would make sense for maximum profit.

Fans across the globe are hoping for Ryan Cooler, to direct a sequel due to his great work on the first film. There are rumors of Atlantis being introduced in a sequel, but these are early days and would be a wild prediction this far out. Have you got any recommendations for a sequel?
