No. 4: He Is MUCH More Powerful Than People Know

Aquaman’s powers are much greater than simply “talking to fish” and breathing underwater. Aquaman possesses superhuman strength, agility, and endurance. First, let’s talk about his super-strength. As I was doing a lot of research about this awhile back, I ran into an argument about the science behind heroes, and it was confirmed that Aquaman would need to lift about 85 tons to even be able to walk on the bottom of the ocean. This means that he would need even more strength to fight or lift things all the way down there, which puts him on the scale of very, very strong.
If you got the chance to play him in the Injustice video games, particularly against Superman (controversially one of the strongest heroes of all time), you might have noticed some of the dialogue between the two: Arthur says, “I can match your strength,” to which Supes replies, “Almost.” I understand that it is just a game, but it definitely proves Aquaman is severely under-rated in terms of raw power.
In addition to his super strength, he has impenetrable skin due to the immense pressures he is subjected to at the bottom of the ocean. This results in him being bulletproof on many occasions, especially in the New 52, where he gets shot at quite often. He has telepathy, which he uses to persuade fish and other marine life into doing things for him. This telepathy is stronger than people realize, since one time he actually used it to control Superman. In addition to his physical strength, years as king have made him as smart as Bruce Wayne in terms of strategy and problem solving. Brains of Batman and strength of Superman? Sounds good to me!
