No. 5: The Walking Dead Season 3 (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, iOS, Android)
TellTale strike twice this year, and we now have some new info on the next Walking Dead game, courtesy of the San Diego Comic Con panel. Clementine voice actor Melissa Hutchison and Telltale’s Creative Director Dennis Lenart revealed that we’ll be playing as new protagonist Xavier. We previously knew very little other than what he looked like, but he's teaming up with an older Clementine. Given the open-ended nature of TellTale's games, it has been decided that Season 3 will begin from the same point regardless of previous decisions. Per the press release:
Another unique aspect of this third season is that while it absolutely continues the story of the previous two seasons, it also serves as a new entry point for fans who’ve yet to be caught up to speed… players who are new to the series will have a chance to learn more about Clementine’s backstory, while at the same time, those who have played previous seasons will have a story that’s uniquely tailored to the diverging paths they’ve taken in the past.
The first episode will be released sometime this Autumn.
