Robin Through The Ages: Part 5
I'm a 35 year old Canadian living in Ontario. I read comics, I love to draw and I collect comic art. I also teach karate, play hockey, and am a dad to 3 girls! My comic book passion lies with Batman and his pals with Nightwing taking a very close #2 favourite position. I began collecting comic art in 2013 and I have several commissions done by Ken Lashley and an amazing Francis Manapul Batman. As well I have sold a few of my own creations!
No. 2: Born To Kill
Damian's childhood is full of training and study. Basically he had no childhood and instead was taught how to fight, both physically and strategically, from the earliest age possible. During this time, if we go by the New 52 version of the story, he knows nothing about his father and Batman knows nothing about him. When Damian asks his mother about his parentage, she says that she will tell him everything when the boy can best her in a duel on his birthday. Finally when Damian is ten, he beats her in the duel and she explains to him who his father is and what he does.
When he first teams up with Batman, Damian really struggles with not killing and, in fact, kills one of the first villains the pair face together - Nobody.
