Around the year 2020 a young man by the name of Terry Mcginnis takes up the mantel of Batman after he comes in contact with a 60 year old Bruce Wayne who hung up the cowl after his body started to fail him in battle. In a world filled with new technology and new villains, Terry has his hands full. With Bruce as his mentor and a new Batsuit that has plenty of gadgets and the ability to give him enhanced strength, Terry is ready to fight. With allies like Nightwing, Batgirl and Robin retired and gone there was no one able to help him but Bruce.

Though a different and new story Batman Beyond followed the tradition of Batman perfectly. Given great villains like Blight (the show's version of Lex Luthor), Stalker, Spellbinder, Joker Gang, and the Royal Flush Gang. Gotham is still a city that needs the Batman to protect the night.
