No. 6: Ant-Man

Screen-Shot-2015-04-13-at-9.13.08-AM

Let's just be honest and say that most people laugh when they hear the name Ant-Man. For some reason many think this superhero is lame. On the contrary my friends, this movie proves otherwise. This film finally show that Ant-Man can hold his own, even against an Avenger and still pull out some jokes to keep things light at the same time.

Paul Rudd (if you read my previous article before the movie came out you'll understand my love for him) did an amazing job with the Scott Lang character.

This is the most recent movie on this list. I saw it a few of weeks ago and I must say I was pleased.

Though the beginning definitely did feel like an origin story. It was rather slow for my taste and it felt like it took forever to get Scott Lang into his big heist against bad guy Darren Cross. Cross was either one of the best villains we've had in a while or the worst, depending on who you ask.

I thought that he was pretty good, cliche through and through, but nevertheless still a good adversary for Ant-Man. Evangeline Lily rocked as Hope Van Dyne, who is the daughter of the original Ant-Man and Wasp. She was the strongest thing about the movie. She is just the kind of female superhero we need to stand with Black Widow and Scarlett Witch in the Marvel Universe.

And lets not forget about the two great Post-Credit scenes. I won't give them away since the movie is so new. If you haven't seen the film yet, don't miss them.
