No. 8: Thor

thor-movie-reviews

Like I said before on this list, this was a decent attempt at an origin movie for Thor. Fans got to see a lesser known Chris Hemsworth shine in a new role that sky rocketed him into the star that we know his as today. Kenneth Branagh directed the film and did quite well, as he is better known for his career in Shakespeare adaptations.

This film really doesnt have much too it in the way of complexity and that hurt the film amongst some fans. When you think about it, Thor fell from Asgard, met Jane Foster, learned humility (how to act less like an egotistical god and more like an honorable human being) and then became Thor 2.0.

The The Oddyssey by any stretch.

The first time I saw this movie, I hated it.

Now the more I watch it the more I realize that Kenneth Branagh did a decent job.

Seeing how the film's producers had to create Asgard for the first time, the settings wasn't bad either.

I mean who wouldn't want that castle as their house?
