No. 4: Dr. Hurt

Batman # 678

This last identity might be a bit of a stretch, but also might make the most sense out of all of them. Introduced in 1963, but only named by Grant Morrison in 2008, Dr. Hurt was a whole different kind of villain from any other Batman had ever faced. Dr. Hurt attacked Batman and Bruce Wayne on a whole different level. First of all, he knew who Batman was; but he also made a claim that shook Bruce to his very core. Dr. Hurt claimed to be Bruce’s father Thomas Wayne, and that he had orchestrated all of the events in Bruce’s life since that moment in Crime Alley. Aside from that Dr. Hurt also claimed to be the devil himself. Something that delved into a Black Casebook file that was like unsolved mysteries for Batman. Everything Theo is doing plays along the line of the way Dr. Hurt went about going after Bruce. Although it is still very early on in the series and Bruce isn’t going to be Batman for a while; it would be fun for the storyline to end with Zurr-En-Arrh being introduced and implanted into Bruce’s psyche.
