No. 4: Batmobile/Batwing
It's obvious Chris Nolan was going for a more grounded realistic version of Batman and by all rights it worked! But that doesn't mean we weren't in the meantime still yearning for our larger than life, stuff of legend Batman. The Nolan version of the Batmobile, known as the tumbler, and pseudo Batwing were built for military use, and then simply adopted by Batman. The tumbler was cool and all, but was nothing more than a bulky high speed tank, and the Batwing we got looked more like a hover version of the ED-209 from "RoboCop". Since they weren't designed with anything anywhere near a "bat vigilante" in mind, neither comes off as terribly Batman-ish, which to an extent was intentional. The current Batmobile however, is the perfect hybrid of the armored combat and pursuit capabilities of the tumbler with the iconic, sleek and mysterious Tim Burton style cruiser. I wouldn't mind if this Batmobile stuck around for a while!
