Counting Down 10 Comics Bromances

No. 6: Cable (Nathan Summers) & Deadpool

With Scott Summers and a clone of Jean Grey as his parents (he's met them as an adult while they hadn't of had him yet, head hurt?), born into a future timeline where mutants are hunted and the earth is a wasteland, one would expect Cable to gravitate towards the likes of Deadpool. Though even with Cable's calm and determined demeanor Deadpool is his closest friend and greatest ally and vice versa. Deadpool tries his hardest to be as annoying as possible to Cable and never listen to any of the things Cable says, no matter how important (Deadpool has fought Cable numerous times after Cable shows up from the future, mostly to waste time).

Cable is one of the most powerful mutants ever (no surprise with the parents he has) and Deadpool is a crazy SOB that practically can't die. The two, though you wouldn't guess it by the way they treat each other, are buds to say the least, though I doubt Deadpool or Cable would ever say it out loud. These two would always help each other out whenever asked. Oh, and lets not forget that Deadpool is the only person to ever make Cable smile or crack a joke (he once fooled Deadpool into thinking his zipper was down).

The future is in good hands.
