I'm a 35 year old Canadian living in Ontario. I read comics, I love to draw and I collect comic art. I also teach karate, play hockey, and am a dad to 3 girls! My comic book passion lies with Batman and his pals with Nightwing taking a very close #2 favourite position. I began collecting comic art in 2013 and I have several commissions done by Ken Lashley and an amazing Francis Manapul Batman. As well I have sold a few of my own creations!

No. 5: Mr. Freeze

Freeze

This pick is heavily influenced by nostalgia. The fact that 'Heart of Ice' was the first Batman: The Animated Series episode I ever saw, as well as the truly awful interpretations of the character we've gotten (see Arnold Schwarzenegger) make this one an easier choice.  The thing that made the animated series version of Mr. Freeze so great was the tragic back story that Paul Dini gave him; motivating Mr. Freeze to take revenge on those that wronged him and his dying wife, rather than depicting him as a petty diamond-stealing thug.
