Agents of SHIELD: 5 Reasons To Watch

No. 5: Skye (AKA Daisy Johnson)

We’ve watched her grow from a young hacker who lived in a van to a fully-fledged SHIELD agent, to a super-hero who has the power to cause earthquakes that can level mountains and destroy forests. She has survived being shot, betrayed by people she trusted, meeting and then losing her parents, and all this on top of having grown up in an orphanage. Her character shows exceptional strength and Chloe Bennet portrays her growth beautifully. She displays the full range of Skye’s emotions, and in a brief face-swap even manages to play a different character quite well, having to act while lip-synching to the other actress’s voice.
These are just the first five things that come to mind when considering the awesomeness that is Agents of SHIELD. Though the show does suffer a little from having to wait for the release of the Marvel movies for the sake of continuity, it more than makes up for it with gadgets, character arcs, and extremely fun writing. And, of course, brilliant actors.
