Highly intelligent, Monster Girl is a sassy 29 year old adult who is now trapped in a child's body as a consequence of using her powers. She uses her powers to transform into a huge incredibly strong male monster, even after she discovers that using this ability causes her to retroactively age.

Her ability derives from a curse that her own grandmother placed on her because of a relationship she chose to be in that her grandmother disapproved of. Its nice to find a character that is willing to follow her heart, and able to stand up for what's right, even though it comes with a hefty price tag.

Monster Girl has a rebellious spirit that is refreshing to see. She joins the Guardians of the Globe and meets Robert, who takes on the task of fixing her problem. Eventually, he's able to create a belt that seemingly stops the aging problem, while allowing her to transform.

Creators Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley did a great job bringing their vision to life, and giving Monster Girl an interesting identity and back story that make her both lovable and heroic.
