Tyrese Gibson Confirms WB Meeting for Green Lantern Corps

It seems now like this rumor is now coming much closer to reality. Tyrese Gibson confirmed with Colider that he recently met with Warner Bros about taking the key role in Green Lantern Corps. Gibson has stated that he had nothing to do with getting the ball rolling, stating that fans started the hole thing, but not before admitting that he meet with Warner Bros.

I’ve already had a couple of meetings at Warner Bros., so we’ll see what happens. I do believe that there needs to be more black superheroes out there, but that’s not even my motivation. I think I would be the best Green Lantern and based on my fans and supporters that spent around $6 billion in box office receipts, I feel like there’s a fan-base of fans out there waiting to see me put on this green suit and do my thing. So I would love to confirm something today but I can’t. We’ll just keep following up

The Green Lantern John Stewart is one of the most beloved superheroes from DC Comics and will apparently play a big part in the upcoming Green Lantern Corps movie.
