Finally, after months of speculation we have learned the name of main character in Rogue One, Jyn Erso played by Felicity Jones. Little was revealed about the character in this trailer, but we did find out that she had a troubled life which has led her to the rebellion.

Star Wars is embracing tough female characters, first with Rey (Daisy Ridley) in The Force Awakens and now following with Jyn Erso. If reaction to the Rogue One trailer is any indication, fans of the franchise will latch on to her adventure the same way they did to Rey's in The Force Awakens. Throughout the trailer see her beating up Stormtroopers, and establishing herself as a heroine to be reckoned with.
