All eyes were on DC Comics and Warner Bros. Entertainment at Comic-Con this year to see what they would show and announce, especially when it came to their massive upcoming movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!

DC Comics has gone and left all their fans and doubters with their mouths wide open.

One of the biggest conventions in the world occurred this weekend and fans were wondering what DC Comics and Warner Bros. were going to bring to get fans excited and to silence their critics.

Leading up to the SDCC presentation many fans and critics began to go over the things they believed DC Comics needed to do in order to win the fans and silence the critics. Most agreed that the best way would be for DC Comics to announce the Green Lantern film and/or casting for Green Lantern and a brand new Batman v Superman trailer; showing more than than just the two title characters.

The number one thing listed by these fans was for other characters and heroes to be shown within the trailer, such as Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor. Another addition fans wanted to see in the next trailer was a larger introduction to the plot.

DC Comics succeeded in their mission on Saturday, July 11th, at a packed Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con with not only footage of the upcoming Suicide Squad movie but with a three minute and 35 second trailer, showcasing Batman v Superman.

The trailer caused the fans in the audience to give a standing ovation as they cheered at the spectacle they saw. What many fans like myself were praying for was that the trailer would be released to the public in a matter of weeks, but then we received the best gift of all - the full trailer from Comic-Con was released for every fan and critic to enjoy.

This led plenty of fans who were not at Comic-Con to freak out and scramble to look up the trailer and see the spectacle that caused so many to cheer in Hall H.

This trailer was the biggest chance for DC to show off their new movie and captivate fans.

This was definitely worthy their big competition with Marvel, who decided to opt out of San Diego Comic-Con and decided to go to their parent companies convention D23.

Watching this trailer truly brought the nerd out within me.

I could not help but scream from excitement as the scene before me unfolded. Seeing Superman slowly fly down to go to court with protesters behind him - some for him some against him - which will be a running theme throughout the movie.

This trailer is one of the most jaw-dropping and adrenaline-pumping trailers I have seen in a long time. I already wanted to see Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, but now I truly can not wait for the film to debut.

One of the biggest criticisms for Snyder’s previous film Man of Steel was the amount of destruction and civilian death that occurred throughout the ending fight scene in Metropolis. Snyder does a great thing by listening to fans and turning that destruction into one of the main plots in the new movie. This can be seen in the trailer, as Bruce Wayne is standing in the street during the fight between Superman and Zod. Having Bruce there allows Snyder to give a huge reason for him not to like Superman and wanting him to be stopped.

One of my favorite scenes within the trailer was when we get a close up look at Robin's costume with graffiti on the suit stating “HAHAHA Jokes on you Batman!”.

Now this has caused many fans to come up with theories of what this suit can mean when it comes to the newly  announced solo Batman movie, which is directed by Ben Affleck himself and comic writer Geoff Johns. Many fans will be hoping this little easter egg means we will see more of Jared Letos Joker as well as finally seeing a live action version of Batman: Under the Red Hood and Batman: A Death in the Family. Either one of those stories will have comic fans flooding into theaters to see it unfold in front of them.

Another one of my favorite parts within this trailer was the huge fight between Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman. It is as of now unforeseen whether or not they are all truly fighting one another or if they are fighting together against an unforeseen villain.. The whole reason this part of the trailer was breath taking was due to how each of the main heroes (Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman) got to show off their talent and we got to see all three in action. One of the cool things that happened during this scene was when Batman was using the grappling hook to move from building to building. In the scene for a split second you can see how Snyder paid homage to one of his biggest influences for the film in The Dark Knight Returns (images shown above).

In my own opinion this trailer has done everything it was intended to do and more!

The film went from looking good in the first trailer to “OH MY GOD” amazing in the second. This film seems like it will be what DC Comics fans could only dream about 10 years ago.

All in all, I implore anyone who has not seen the trailer to watch it right here and tell us your comments below!

It will definitely give you faith in what DC Comics is planning for their cinematic universe!
