Deadpool 2 is set for a 2017 release and rumours about the film’s casting are beginning to fly. We have the latest information on the possible casting of a beloved Marvel character right here for you on ComiConverse.

Deadpool 2 buzz began in the closing moments of the first Deadpool film, when Ryan Reynolds emerged in full Ferris Bueller cosplay and let slip the news that the film’s sequel would incorporate one of Deadpool’s best buddies from the pages of Marvel Comics – Cable.  All jokes about Keira Knightley aside, it seems plans to cast Cable may be starting to firm-up.

Speaking in the latest episode of Meet the Movie Press, film reporter Jeff Sneider discussed the rumour of Friday Night Lights star Kyle Chandler playing the Marvel Comics hero Cable in the Fox sequel.

Sneider said that the rumours concerning Chandler and the part have been swirling for months. He went on to say “I don’t know if he’s interested in that kind of thing, I’m just saying that’s the name that’s been out there.”

As Ryan Reynolds himself pointed out in the post-credits scene of the original Deadpool film, the part would typically required a big physically imposing actor. Whether Kyle Chandler would fit the bill is something that will remain to be seen, however, the buzz over his possible casting is already causing wave of fan discussion.
