Comics have been home to some of the most epic "Bromances" of all-time. Here, our Grant Billings takes time to rank the  warrior wingmen we all know and love.

Some of the greatest bromances between our favourite comics heroes bring about some great banter and even better stories. Bromances between the likes of Spider-Man and Wolverine or Superman & Batman have given these characters, and the readers who follow them, some epic comics moments.

So here, without further adieu, are ten of the greatest comic book bromances ever.

No. 10: Flash & Green Lantern

The Flash and Green Lantern have been bros since they first met. It may be just the fact that Barry Allen and Hal Jordan acted like brothers or the fact that they each thought they were the funniest guy in the Justice League and tried their hardest to prove that they were the clown on the team. And yet, you kind of wonder if their true connection was just the essence of the hero that resided in them both.

The Flash (though the name never changes) moniker has been carried by a handful of people. Jay Garrick, Barry Allen (most famous), Wally West and even Bart Allen have all put on the red suit. Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner and Simon Baz (most recent GL) have all been chosen, because of their strong will, with one of the most powerful weapons in the universe. I tell you this because it seems that whoever dons the yellow lightning bolt or wears the ring, The Flash and Green Lantern always seem to have a serious bromance.

Of course, with Barry and Hal being the most famous of the two characters' incarnations this bromance has been told  in many different formats and in many different ways over the years. The two always seem to lighten up the room with their jokes (i.e. Justice League Warand Justice League Throne of Atlantis). But like I said, it isn't just these two who share a bond. Wally West who originally started out as Kid Flash grew up in the world of superheroes, unlike Barry who turned into the Flash in adulthood. So when Barry "died" during Crisis on Infinite Earths, Wally took up his mentor's title as The Flash. It seemed as soon as he joined the League, he bonded with Kyle Rayner, the new Green Lantern of Earth, after Kyle was given a ring. Both of them felt out of place in the big watchtower with all the big-time superheroes like the Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, so they both bonded over feeling out-of-place in the big-time superhero gig and ended up a pair unlike any other.
