Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and the full arrival of DC's extended universe is slowly building towards what is set to be an epic 2016 launch. Our Ryan Mayer takes us through the enticing lead-up to the film that will introduce the core Justice League members into the DC film universe.

The Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice countdown clock has now moved from triple to double digits. The DC Extended Universe (DCEU) has already begun with Man of Steel, which was released in 2013. The arrival of the DCEU has been one of the most anticipated items on the agendas of every comic book fan. In 2016 alone fans will be getting their first two tastes of this connected universe with Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. Every day we get closer to the release of the film where we will see the “Son of Krypton vs the Bat of Gotham”.

As superhero fans get ready to see some of their favorite characters on the silver screen for the first time together, fans are wondering where it will all lead.

We all know that when we sit down on March 25th, we will be getting to watch two of the most well known comic book characters participate in “the greatest gladiator match the world has ever seen”. However, one other thing we will have to prepare ourselves for is the idea that, by the end of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, we will all be seeing four additional members of the Justice League.

As of right now it is known that fans will be seeing Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash; however, we are not sure how the latter three are going to show up and how much they will do within the body of this particular film. It could be anything from a quick cameo to a more substantial set of action scenes. Many suspect that we will see more of Aquaman than Flash or Cyborg, due to 2015's promotion and merchandizing.

For many fans the day Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is released is the day they will have been waiting for since they were kids. This movie is more than just seeing these two giants of the comic book universe wage war on one another, we also get to see the League come together and how each of these amazing characters react to those events.

**Potential Spoilers Ahead**

The first step, however, is to bring these characters into this newly formed DC extended universe. The thing about Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is that we may know the fact that Doomsday is in the film or that Batman and Superman are going to fight, but we have no idea how the journey to the final team-up of the DC Trinity will occur.

There are many rumors that have begun floating around; which goes to show that most can't even imagine what’s going to happen in the film come March 25th - even with so many details already released.

One rumor being thrown around the internet is the possibility of a time jump within the film which could happen after the big fight between Superman and Batman. This time jump could allow for a small exposition showing how Batman and Superman have in a way become friends. This could lead up to the ominous line being stated by Lex Luthor in the trailer; “If man won’t kill god, the devil will do it!”. These two icons befriending one another could be what pushes Luthor to release Doomsday into the world.

Is Doomsday's arrival the moment that brings the league together, or is there something even bigger in store?

There is so much that could possibly happen throughout Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Only time will tell what will happen in this highly anticipated film, but one thing is for sure, we'll get to see our first taste into the Justice League by the end of the film.

For most fans, it will surely have been worth the wait.
